Kannada films released in the last few months showed some improvement in the box office and seven of the releases so far are not ready to vacate theatres because audience response is very good.

Yash and Amoolya starring ‘Gajakesari’, Sudeep and V Ravichandran ‘Maanikya’, Sharan ‘Jai Lalitha’, V Ravichandran and Navya Nayar ‘Drishya’, Prakash Raj ‘Oggarane’, Ajay Rao and Shravya ‘Rose’ and ‘Chandralekha’ of Chiranjeevi Sarja and Shanvi (in continuation 20th week) are making Kannada filmdom proud.

The biggest collectors among seven are ‘Gajakesari’ and ‘Maanikya’. Once again Jayanna combines proved how to roar in the box office. ‘Gajakesari’ of Yash and Amoolya is pinch hitter and at some point of time it sidelined the collection for a few days of another big star cast film ‘Maanikya’. Maanikya is made in a budget of Rs.20 crores according to MN Kumar main producer and at 50th day it started seeing profits. It is at 85th day as of now. For ‘Gajakesari’ the profit came in lorry loads from first week. Yash joined the frontline of top stars with this box office rout his film made.

The two films ‘Oggarane’ and ‘Drishya’ are liked by the A class audience and theatres balcony is fast picking up for the contents close to family audience. Prakash Raj ‘Oggarane’ comforted him from the beginning. He has cleverly produced and directed three languages film by shooting at one place. The Kannada version is lapped up by the audience in multiplex and single screens did not wait to give more profits to the film.

‘Chandralekha’ is in 20th week in continuation is well run for 75 days and earned profits for producer from Andhra Pradesh, ‘Rose’ the latest one is also doing well in the box office is a good shining news.
